Lunch has re-opening as of June 8, 2022, thanks be to God!

Neighbours’ Lunch is a St. Andrew’s ministry that began in 2003, originally serving 35 of our neighbours with a lunch of homemade soup and buns.  It has grown to making three kinds of soup and many dozens of buns and desserts, as well as coffee, tea and juice.  There are 16-20 volunteers who each week who serve between 125 and 150 lunches. The church is very proud of the 93,659 bowls of soup that have been served since its humble beginnings.

A few of the Neighbours' Lunch volunteers

In Sidney, there are lunches offered daily to those who are challenged to have enough food and to those who are simply seeking fellowship.  Four other churches and two social service organizations offer their version of Neighbours Lunch on the other days of the week, so that St. Andrew’s Wednesday lunches complete the week for those who look to this ministry for their food and fellowship.

Join us for a delicious bowl of soup and some lively conversation!  Or volunteer to assist in the preparation and serving.  If you are interesting in knowing more- come along on a Wednesday, between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.  You’ll be glad you did!
