Join us in our diocesan-wide support of Orange Shirt Day and help raise awareness of the need for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope.

Join us in our diocesan-wide support of Orange Shirt Day and help raise awareness of the need for First Nations, local governments, schools and communities to come together in the spirit of reconciliation and hope. On Sunday, September 27 and Wednesday, September 30, wear an 'Every Child Matters' orange shirt (or any orange shirt) wherever you go, to honour residential school survivors and the children who did not survive Canada’s painful residential school system.

The Orange Shirt Society's purposes are:

1.   To support Indian Residential School Reconciliation

2.   To create awareness of the individual, family and community intergenerational impacts of Indian Residential Schools through Orange Shirt Society activities

3.  To create awareness of the concept of "Every Child Matters"
