JOHN & MARGARET TWINING
MEMORIAL BURSARY 2010
Criteria
Established
by the Parish Council of St. Andrew’s Church, Sidney, BC in loving
memory of John and Margaret Twining, in recognition of many years of
service to the Anglican Church of Canada.
Objectives
Mission
Statement
To
know, proclaim and become living examples of Christ - through the
equipping of our members, the nurture and loving fellowship of all, and
the reaching out in love and ministry to those outside our church.
Our
Stewardship Statement
God
created us and therefore all of our resources belong to Him, just as we
do. One of our first tasks
as Christians is to use God’s
resources rightly. These
resources are to be shared between His service and our needs.
It is important that we set aside a definite portion, a tithe, of
God’s
resources for His work here on earth.
The giving of our time, talent, and treasure is a tangible
reflection of our growing faith in God and our relationship with Him.
To
encourage and support further education/training for members of this
parish.
